Understanding the ADI qualification

There are three principal stages.

Part 1 assesses theory and hazard perception.

Part 2 assesses your practical driving.

Part 3 assesses your instructional ability.

Each stage needs its own preparation, and the skills you develop in one stage provide a foundation for the next.
